On December 14, 2024, the parish of St. Elizabeth came alive with the spirit of giving as EHAS INC (Everyone Has A Story) hosted its annual Christmas of Hope event in Junction. The day was filled with vibrant performances, heartfelt moments, and the pure joy of children receiving gifts and encouragement for the holiday season.

Music, Poetry, and Inspiration

The celebration opened with the pulsating rhythms of the Kingston Drummers, whose powerful banning sounds had the children dancing and jumping with excitement. Their lively performance set the tone for a day of energy and togetherness.

Next, the spotlight turned to Tanisha, who delivered a moving poem centered on empowerment and the benefits of investing in youth. Her words reminded everyone of the importance of building a strong foundation for the next generation.

Entertainment continued as Zelda Entertainment showcased one of their top artists, who lit up the stage with songs for the kids. The momentum carried forward with Dahvid Slur, whose smooth hits had the audience swaying, before Captain I Can closed the show with his inspiring anthem “I Can”. The powerful chorus had every child singing along, reinforcing a message of hope and possibility.

Spreading Joy Through Giving

One of the highlights of the day was the distribution of gifts. The EHAS team successfully handed out 986 toys to the youth of Junction, ensuring that nearly every child present left with a smile and a tangible reminder of the season’s generosity.

But the giving didn’t stop there. On December 15th, the team extended their outreach to Craig Town, where an additional 115 children received gifts. This two-day impact brought the total to over 1,100 children blessed with joy, hope, and love during the holiday season.

A Legacy of Hope Across Jamaica

The 2024 event left a lasting impression on St. Elizabeth, filling the parish with laughter, music, and renewed community spirit. Building on that success, EHAS INC has announced that the next Christmas of Hope will take place in St. Mary on December 19, 2025, where the organization plans to serve another 1,100 children and their families.

The vision doesn’t stop there—EHAS plans to bring Christmas of Hope to a different parish each year, ensuring that children across the island experience the warmth of the holidays, the encouragement of community, and the reminder that they are not forgotten.

Christmas of Hope is more than a celebration—it’s a movement of love, empowerment, and community.
